Curatorial Note:
Isabel Loveys was the Woman's Missionary Society's Executive Secretary of Home Missions. In March 1943, she visited the internment camps in British Columbia. A description of that trip can be found in the published excerpts of her report, "Among the Japanese Canadians in British Columbia" (Toronto: The Woman's Missionary Society of The United Church of Canada, 1943). This photograph appears on the cover of the leaflet and is available on this website.
