The next general meeting of the National Japanese United Church Conference (Kyogikai) wasn't held until 1956 (Toronto). From then on, the conferences were held once every two years in various locations. The 1960 Kyogikai was held at St. Andrew's Hall at UBC For the first time, both Nisei and Issei delegates attended. Kyogikai was recognized as a formal gathering within the United Church.
