Curatorial Note:
Margaret Eto was born in Vancouver and lived in Japantown (Little Tokyo) before the Second World War. During the war, her family was interned at Rosebery, BC The family moved to Japan after the war. Margaret returned to Vancouver in the mid-1950s and joined the Vancouver Japanese United Church. She served as secretary of the Board for the English-speaking congregation during the 1970s and 1980s.
